RSNA 2025 | Visage's Top Five

RSNA 2025 | Visage's Top Five

RSNA 2025 ("RSNA25") was another record-setting event for Visage! Despite the record November snow in Chicago (yes, it was a record!), we had significant customer interest in all of the latest technology we were showing. What was also record-setting this year was the number of customer presentations held in the Visage booth, as well as our Special Event at Apple Michigan Avenue for Visage Ease VP! The buzz was palpable everywhere you looked, amplifying our messages around AI Optimized, Enterprise Imaging, innovation, efficiency, happiness and relief.

It was a thrill to see so many of you at RSNA25! We hope our summary matches your experience with Visage, and if you were unable to travel through the snow, wind and bitter Chicago cold, we hope you find our top five useful. It includes a ton of photos and videos to make you feel like you were right there with us on the show floor. Now, on with Visage’s Top Five!

1 – Excitement and Accolades All Around

Despite attendance being moderately down (-5%) from 2024, interest in Visage continued to drive record attendance to our booth. At RSNA25, we had the opportunity to meet with ~75% of our North American customers, as well as customers from across the globe. This year, the message headed into RSNA and in the backdrop of countless talks, was focused on the shortage of radiologists, problematic work patterns, as well as the need to look after each other to reduce burnout and improve morale. That's a pretty depressing undertone to the meeting.

In contrast, our experience is quite the opposite at Visage, where the almost universal feedback we receive is from happy radiologists, who share that Visage is nothing short of life changing. Just before RSNA25, one of our breast imaging customers shared, "This is the only system I've worked on where I can get through my entire list and not feel like my soul has left my body at the end of the day." That's one of the most heartfelt and raw comments from a Radiologist I've ever heard in my career.

You won't find these below attributes on a spec sheet, but they represent some of Visage's most important "features", especially in today's Imaging environment. Radiologists and practice leaders shared at RSNA25 how Visage has:

  • "Flipped" their perspective on Radiology.
  • Brought the joy back to being a radiologist.
  • Made some radiologists re-contemplate retirement because they enjoy reading on Visage 7 so much.
  • Been the stimulus for expansion to other locations, regions, telerad and market segments, such as national outpatient imaging.
  • Allowed radiologists to work remotely from wherever they reside, in particular fueling virtual breast imaging, a particular pain point for many institutions still reliant on legacy platforms.
  • Enabled customers to successfully keep up with double-digit percentage volume increases, and get this -- while also simultaneously being down radiologists -- but not feeling the pain of being understaffed.
  • Empowered customers to increase their efficiency just hours after go-live.
  • Been the critical tool for customers to recruit radiologists from across the country simply because they could get to read on Visage 7 and not have to move and uproot their families.
One of our customers told us that it's refreshing to meet with Visage because nearly all of his vendor visits at RSNA are about "conflict resolution", whereas their visit with Visage is all about looking forward, checking out the innovations, pursuing worthy, exciting initiatives and not looking back.  Story after story, we're told that Visage has been a game-changer for our customers in so many different ways.

This year we enhanced our booth with our AI Innovation Hub, where we highlighted all of our latest AI developments and other enterprise imaging innovations across the Visage 7 platform. We also showcased the latest Apple Vision Pros with the M5 chip, featuring our Visage Ease VP spatial computing app. More on that later in the Top Five.

The Visage booth received positive feedback from all of our customers and guests who told us that we had the best booth at RSNA. Some of the compliments we received were about the lighting, the curved LED video wall, the openness, the theaters, the coffee, the vibe. We heard similar feedback from RSNA representatives, other exhibit companies, as well as other vendors who were admiring the Visage booth from the aisle.

2 – Visage is AI Optimized

AI is advancing so quickly, imaging organizations need the foundation of an AI Optimized Enterprise Imaging Platform purpose built and proven for the Cloud. A platform that supports AI-inference based workflow prioritization and orchestration, standards-based AI-results integration with non-disruptive interpretation workflow and support for all algorithms — third-party, self-developed and co-developed. All powered by the same platform delivering unparalleled interpretation efficiency and much needed relief from the challenges of burnout facing radiologists today.

At RSNA25, we demonstrated a number of our latest AI algorithms purpose built to assist radiologists with interpretation, including:

  • Visage 7 Ix - Visage Ix (e.g., Imaging History) was demonstrated to enable rapid insights about a patient's imaging (report) history. Powered by GenAI (ChatGPT) and a large language model, the simple workflow allows the user to ask questions using natural language prompts or via the convenient buttons already in the dialog box.
  • Visage 7 | AI - Mammography - Work-in-progress co-developed algorithm for breast cancer screening. In this video published just prior to RSNA, watch our clinical partner describe our AI advancements in breast cancer screening and aortic calcification.
  • Opportunistic Screening - Visage demonstrated several work-in-progress algorithms for opportunistic screening including: Visage 7 | AI – OS Aorta for Opportunistic Screening Aortic Calcification; Visage 7 | AI – OS BodyComp for Opportunistic Screening Body Composition and Visage 7 | AI – OS BMD for Opportunistic Screening Bone Mineral Density assessment. All of these algorithms are being developed with Visage 7 customer partners around the globe. Working with our clinical partner, our bone mineral density opportunistic screening algorithm development efforts have resulted in the recent peer-reviewed paper, Deep Learning–based Opportunistic CT Osteoporosis Screening and the Establishment of Normative Values, Radiology, November 11, 2025.
  • Reporting Tools - Visage demonstrated our In Viewer integrated, latest work-in-progress innovations in AI-powered reporting with paste-to-PowerScribe, automated impression generation and error checking.

Visage remains on the forefront of AI interoperability through our actions with the IHE, with cutting-edge customer AI transparency initiatives, and six (6) consecutive years of participation as the PACS in the RSNA Radiology Reimagined demonstration. Over the past 6 years, we have integrated to dozens of third-party algorithms, and demonstrated those efforts publicly using the commercially available version of Visage 7. We intend to continue our groundbreaking work in this area for RSNA26.

Based on our efforts, in 2025 Visage was also presented with a certificate from RSNA based on our contributions to RSNA RadLex Study Series Standardization and interoperability:

4 – Spatial in the Spotlight

At RSNA25, Visage literally was "turning heads" as we demonstrated our latest innovations with Visage Ease VP on Apple Vision Pro. Additionally, on Monday evening, we held a Special Event at Apple Michigan Avenue, which included three primary clinical speakers, and a panel presentation with Apple’s Moderator and Global Healthcare Leader, Afshad Mistri, and Visage Co-Founder and Global CTO, Malte Westerhoff, PhD.

The clinical speakers and their research interests using Apple Vision Pro and Visage Ease VP are as follows:

  • Elias Kikano, MD (Division Director of Imaging Informatics, Emory) - Use of Apple Vision Pro and Visage Ease VP for resident training and education, as well as use for diagnostic interpretation. Within just the past few weeks, Dr. Kikano and his colleagues published the following paper for your consideration: Feasibility of Using the Apple Vision Pro for Diagnostic Radiology: User Experience and Perceived Clinical Utility (https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10278-025-01745-7).
  • Paul Murphy, MD (Vice Chair, Imaging Informatics and Abdominal Radiologist, UCSD) - Use of Apple Vision Pro and Visage Ease VP for diagnostic interpretation, with a paper focused on evaluating the use of Visage Ease VP for interpretation of diverticulitis cases on CT, Diagnostic Performance of a Next-Generation Virtual/Augmented Reality Headset: A Pilot Study of Diverticulitis on CT (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12572419/).
  • Andrew Gordon, MD (Interventional Radiologist, Northwestern) - Use of Apple Vision Pro and Visage Ease VP for surgical planning and interventional radiology. Dr. Andrew Gordon explained how spatial computing is adding value to over 40% of surgical events for certain cancer patients. Of note, Dr. Gordon shared the case of a patient whose tumor was initially referred as inoperable, but with the added clinical insight of Apple Vision Pro and Visage Ease VP, the patient’s surgical intervention was ultimately successful. Dr. Gordon will be publishing the results of his research in a peer-reviewed journal soon.

At RSNA25, we gave hundreds of demonstrations of Apple Vision Pro and Visage Ease VP, and the feedback was outstanding. In addition to the ability to visualize 2D imaging using only hand gestures in a VR/Spatial Environment, we also provide what we describe as Immersive 3D, which allows the user to see and manipulate images in a way they likely have never have experienced before. Some participants commented that the experience was "eye-opening", others said it was “fun", and I had one user who told me it was “spiritual”. We also demonstrated whole slide imaging with Visage Ease VP, with Pathologists sharing that they were impressed and the visual quality was far superior than the digital displays they're using today to review digital slides.

5 – The Visage Trifecta - Efficiency, Happiness and Relief

At RSNA, while there's always lots of talk about the latest tech, conversations often fail to focus on topics that hit home for most radiologists. Given the current challenging environment, and the ongoing positive impact Visage has in the practice of Radiology and Enterprise Imaging, we've made a significant investment in recent years to have those deep conversations and promote our findings with the industry. In 2023 and 2024, we published whitepapers on the relief customers experience on Visage 7 | CloudPACS, and in 2025, we partnered with Signify Research to write a whitepaper on interpretation efficiency in Radiology, as well as a video panel discussion with The Imaging Wire.

VIsage-RSNA-Blog-Booth-DelightRadiologists spend countless years learning how to clinically be a Radiologist, but they are never trained how to be efficient Radiologists. It is a simple fact that not enough practices prioritize the importance of efficiency. This is perplexing as even single-digit improvements in efficiency have an outsized impact for the individual and for the practice/institution as a whole. And when double-digit percentage improvements in efficiency are put into practice? It's an absolute gamechanger.

That's the Visage Trifecta - efficiency brings relief and relief leads to happiness.

Don't get me wrong, new features, functionality and innovations are necessary and fantastic. But at the end of the day, the absolute value of what we do is "Visage makes Happy Radiologists". Join us and learn why.

Interpretation Efficiency in Radiology

How can we help?

That's a wrap and thank you for a record-breaking RSNA25! Next year we'll be easy to find, as Visage will be in the exact same location in Chicago. If you could not make it this year, we hope to see at RSNA 2026. One last comment if you've lasted this far -- Visage now has more than 5 years of experience implementing customers in the cloud, with not a single new customer implemented on-prem since September 2020! More than 75% of all of our North American customers are now in the cloud. We're extremely proud of those facts.

From all of us at Visage, we hope you enjoyed Visage’s Top Five from RSNA25 and wish you and yours Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
