SIIM 2026 ("SIIM26") was another record-setting meeting for Visage! We walked across many of Pittsburgh's famous bridges, at the same time built new bridges, and came together in record numbers. From groundbreaking product announcements to powerful customer stories, and unforgettable booth moments, we celebrated as an imaging informatics community. We also got to recognize some local Pittsburgh imaging heroes at the SIIM26 Welcome Reception, which was an incredibly special evening.
It was a thrill to see so many of you at SIIM26! We hope our summary matches your experience with Visage, and if you were unable to travel through to SIIM this year, we hope you find our top five useful. It includes lots of multimedia to make you feel like you were right there in the action. Now, on with Visage’s Top Five!
Visage Imaging Sizzle Reel | SIIM26
1 – Visage Releases Visage 7 | Reporting
At SIIM26, Visage unveiled a major evolution: Visage 7 | Reporting, extending the platform’s capabilities with native AI-powered tools built directly into the workflow. In our recent press release, Visage highlighted its continued commitment to One Platform™, AI optimized by design. This ensures radiologists benefit from seamless performance, immediate results, and intuitive usability without disruption. From reporting usability enhancements to intelligent summarization, Visage 7 | Reporting reinforces the vision of AI that enhances, not interrupts, clinical momentum.
Visage 7 | Reporting includes AI‑powered capabilities that greatly enhance reporting efficiency. Intelligent AI tools, such as Draft From Prior and Revise tools, help simplify report refinement, while Auto Impression generation and error checking help to improve quality and save valuable time. By combining native reporting, advanced AI tools, and In Viewer Workflow, Visage 7 | Reporting empowers radiologists with confident diagnosis, better patient care, and even more efficiency improvements.
Importantly, Visage 7 | Reporting is built on an open, future-ready platform architecture designed for the rapidly evolving era of AI. Rather than a closed, monolithic black box, the platform has been architected to support future interoperability with third-party, customer-developed, and emerging AI models, providing customers with the flexibility to adopt new innovations as the AI ecosystem continues to evolve. Customer feedback was fantastic and we look forward to sharing Visage 7 | Reporting with you in the weeks and months to come.
2 – "The Pitt" Meet and Greet with Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Heroes at the SIIM26 Welcome Reception
One of the most memorable moments of the week unfolded at the SIIM26 Welcome Reception, where attendees gathered for a special “The Pitt” meet-and-greet featuring AHN imaging heroes: Charles Li, MD (Neuroradiologist, AHN IT Officer), Matthew Miller, MD (Breast Imaging Radiologist, AHN Director of Breast Imaging), and Matthew Hartman, MD (Body Radiologist, Associate Professor of Radiology). If you're not aware, one of the biggest pop-culture, healthcare dramas on television these days is "The Pitt" on HBO. Exteriors are filmed in Pittsburgh at Allegheny General Hospital (the flagship medical center of AHN), and it has inspired incredible imaging work in education, awareness, screening and prevention initiatives.
Dr. Miller appears frequently across the local Pittsburgh media and sports teams seizing every opportunity to shine the light on breast screening, early detection, and local healthcare initiatives, etc.
Dr. Hartman was a recent Auntminnie.com Finalist for Most Effective Radiology Educator, has recently published an innovative book, Don't Miss That - Radiology Pocket Guide, and launched a 10,000+ follower strong TikTok Channel - Radiology 101, that has 60+ videos that deep dive into the clinical content introduced in "The Pitt" episodes, with a focus on diagnostic imaging.
Anyone that came up to chat with the AHN heroes could take an oversized mug, emblazoned with "Let's Save Some Lives" and "The Pitt", that ratcheted up the energy level even more. AHN has been a Visage customer since July 2015, and they have been live on the Visage 7 Enterprise Imaging Platform ("Visage 7") across their 13 hospitals since January 2016.
The SIIM26 Welcome Reception energy was electric, grounded in real-world impact and clinical excellence, highlighted by conversations with so many inspirational leaders. Countless SIIM luminaries came up to Visage employees thanking us for sponsoring the Welcome Reception, touting that it was the "event of the year".
Beyond the technology and fanfare of the meeting, SIIM26 reminded us that imaging innovation is ultimately about people. SIIM embodies the passionate clinicians, scientists, developers, imaging IT professionals, and vendors who make "extraordinary" possible in the interest of advancing patient care. Our friends, family, loved ones, and ourselves - you can't escape it - we're all patients at one point or another in our lives!
3 – Calm the Chaos with Visage
“Are YOU paying attention???”
That question was posed to me by a prominent radiologist at a national tradeshow last fall, and it's implications echoed throughout SIIM26 and set the stage for a critical industry conversation: how to manage the mounting pressures facing modern imaging. It actually inspired the topic of the AskIndustry Panel Discussion, Blog/Video: "Under Pressure: Industry Imaging Strategies to Rise Above Chaos", where industry experts and moderator, Audrey Verde, MD, PhD, explored how organizations can regain control amid rising volumes, staffing challenges, and increasing complexity.

Complementing the panel discussion, Dr. Ramandeep Singh of the University of Iowa HealthCare presented their cloud transformation, "Unbridling Radiology Workflow Strategies with Cloud PACS and Dictation Migration". The University of Iowa HealthCare contracted with Visage in May 2025, and in just 6 months, went live with Visage 7 | CloudPACS in November 2025. His presentation detailed their journey, and if you click on the link, you can follow the transcript of his outstanding presentation.
Visage and Mayo Clinic also showcased innovation through the joint poster presentation, Automating Aortic Linear Measurements in CT Angiography, highlighting collaborative advancements in Hybrid AI and the novel use of semantic annotations in Visage 7.

Perhaps most telling was the organic feedback from the floor of SIIM26. A vendor approached me during SIIM26 to compliment me on the Visage booth. He made a comment that stuck with me as authentic and a huge compliment, “We really enjoy working with Visage customers. They’re happy, they don’t complain, I know that if they choose our stuff, it'll integrate well. And the radiologists? They absolutely love Visage. You’d have to rip it [Visage 7] out from under them, they love it so much, and would not let Visage go.”
In an industry often defined by friction, this kind of feedback is more than a compliment, it’s validation. Visage helps calm the chaos by delivering reliability, speed, and innovative capability at scale.
4 – Enterprise Imaging is Top of Mind
Enterprise Imaging dominated the conversation at SIIM26 and Visage continues to lead the charge. From Visage 7 | Digital Pathology to advanced multi-ology workflows (e.g., Ophthalmology, Dermatology, etc.), Visage 7 embodies One Platform and supports All Imaging, bringing together all -ologies in the same unified environment. Visage demonstrated Visage 7 | Digital Pathology at SIIM26 and it will go live later this year.

Enterprise Imaging is closer than you think! We also recently shared a presentation by Jacob Theobald (RTR)(R)(CT), Supervisor, Emplify Health: "Visible (in the Best) Light: Successful Enterprise Imaging in the Cloud." Using One Platform, Jacob details Emplify’s experiences implementing visible light and video workflows with Visage 7 | CloudPACS across the enterprise.
Further reinforcing leadership in interoperability, at SIIM26, Audrey Verde, MD, PhD, recognized Visage with an RSNA Informatics Vendor Collaborator certificate, presented for recognization of our contributions to RadLex Study Series standardization. Thank you, Dr. Verde and the RSNA!

5 – Visage Ease VP | Spatial Computing Keeps Growing
Few experiences at SIIM26 captured attention quite like Visage Ease VP. Powered by the Apple Vision Pro and spatial computing, the innovative technology remains as captivating today as when it was first introduced, drawing radiologists, pathologists, and IT leaders into an immersive environment where imaging is no longer restricted. At SIIM26, as he quite often does, Dr. Ed "Dr. Z" Zaragoza, Vice Chair, Radiology Information Technology, UCLA said it best, “It’s like peering into [Alice in Wonderland’s] the Looking-Glass, but it’s real.”
Every demonstration told the same story, possibility without limits. Whether exploring volumetric imaging or visualizing pathology on the infinite canvas [on the biggest screen of your life] of the Apple Vision Pro, attendees were not just observing, they were experiencing the future of imaging interaction, today. If you haven’t yet seen Visage Ease VP in action, make it a priority at an upcoming conference where Visage is exhibiting.
While not at SIIM26, just last week Visage sponsored the first European Spatial Computing in Healthcare Summit, and our Global CTO, Malte Westerghoff, PhD gave one of the keynote presentations, "Spatial Computing in Medical Imaging | From Image Acquisition to Treatment." Here's some of the video highlights of his presentation, which included a preview of CarePath, a spatial patient timeline to transform tumor board with multimedia, diagnostic imaging, immersive 3D, digital pathology and more.
That's a wrap and thank you for a record-breaking SIIM26! Next year, SIIM27 will be in Nashville, TN for the first time and Visage will have a sizable presence just like this year. If you could not make it to SIIM26, we hope to see you at RSNA 2026 in a few months. One last comment -- Visage now has nearly 6 years of experience implementing customers in the cloud, with not a single new customer implemented on-prem since September 2020! More than 77% of all of our North American customers are now in the cloud.
From all of us at Visage, we hope you enjoyed Visage’s Top Five from SIIM26!
